Truth be told?

Appropriately in this season of politics, blogger Lynn Gaertner-Johnston notes that many business writers exaggerate (with pants afire) when it suits their purposes.

Perhaps it is not earth-shattering news to know that companies sometimes lie, but it is unethical. If you write, be honest and show respect for your readers. Your professional reputation is too precious to risk.
